Introduction to DAX 2-day workshop

Overview

DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) is the native language of Power BI, Power Pivot for Excel, and SSAS Tabular models in Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services. The training is aimed at users of Power BI, Power Pivot, and at Analysis Services developers that want to learn and become confident users of the DAX language.

The goal of the course is to teach the basic features of the DAX language, providing the knowledge to write formulas for common business scenarios.

The course is a combination of Power Point presentations, Instructor demonstrations, and hands-on activities. During the 2 days, the training will also provide delegate activity labs.

On completing the course attendees will be provided with a set of course reference notes in a pdf format.

Prerequisites

You should be a competent Microsoft Excel user, with experience of writing excel formulas. Attendees do not require any experience of using DAX, but we recommend that you attend our 2-day Microsoft Power BI Introduction course prior to taking this course.
